  The current download is for the first version of txtRPG it is still at alpha stage, please feel free to test it.

Your main goal in the game is to get the items to kill the Ogres the character '0'

Ogres have 200 health, twice as much as you. and can hold weapons and Armour also.

Let me know what you think in the forum


Important Information
Remember to Maximise the console window while playing so you can see all the information available to you

Type Help to see all the commands

The player is the character '8'

To see the full character map type 'Legend' or 'l'



Also in the data folder is the maps, - the maps are plain english text
the Map Legend file has all the information you should need if you want to create your own maps.

To test your map either name it map1.txt or add a door or stair from another map

Do not make stairs or doors at same position on connected maps will cause an infinite map change. -- which is evil. if that occurs press CTRL+C..

If you make a map email it to me and i can include it in the game.

I will make more maps with quests as i feel fit too..

The program may crash, but its very unlikly, if it does crash let me know in the comments or the forum.
